After a career in marketing, I turned to songwriting as another way to tell stories that connect with people.

Still Walkin With You tells the true story of how Terry and I met—and the unexpected life that followed.

The song began with a photograph.

While planning a surprise anniversary trip to San Antonio for my husband, Terry, I opened a box of keepsakes and found a photo taken the week we met. I had long forgotten that Terry had someone take the picture with his Canon camera, print it after returning to Canada, and mail it to me in Atlanta.

Holding that photo brought everything rushing back—how we met on the San Antonio River Walk, and how unlikely it seemed that a woman from Atlanta and a man from Alberta, before smartphones and email, would build a life together.

Still Walkin With You is our true love story. It begins on the San Antonio River Walk, passes through Atlanta, and crosses borders to a life together under big blue Canadian skies.

I wrote the song about our story, but people have shared that it reminds them of their own—whether that's enduring love, lasting friendships, a reunion or a second chance.

If the song fits your storyline, your brand, or the moment you're looking to score, let's talk...

Here we are at Dick's Last Resort with a copy of the photo from the week we met. The manager not only helped arrange the song's surprise performance at Dick's, he asked to have the photo for the bar. Just like in the song — no hesitation, we said yes! Check it out next time you're in San Antonio.
