The song was inspired by a photo. While planning a surprise trip to San Antonio for my husband, Terry, for a milestone wedding anniversary, I found a photo in a box of keepsakes. It was the two of us the week it all began.
I had long forgotten that Terry had someone take our photo with his Canon camera, printed it upon his return to Canada and then mailed it to me in Atlanta. Holding it took me back to how we met and how unlikely it was that a woman from Atlanta and a man from Alberta, before iPhones and email, would end up building a life together.
Still Walkin' With You is our real love story. It begins on the San Antonio River Walk, travels through Atlanta, and crosses borders to a life under big blue Canadian skies.
This song started as our personal story. We've since discovered that it deeply resonates with others who've walked a journey of lasting love. Still walking. Still grateful.
